Modulating the Growth Curve in Broiler Chicken Through Varying Balanced Protein Regimen (Conventional All Step-down)

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: Selecting the appropriate amino acid levels according to age of modern broiler chicken is critical since proteins are costly. This study, therefore, evaluated performance by modulating growth curve through varying balanced protein (BP) regimen under conventional all step-down phase feeding. Methods: In total, 1750 one-day-old straight run chicks (Hubbard) were randomly allocated 10 treatments, replicated 7 times with 25 broilers. The 3 diets; a high BP (HBP) 1.2% standardized Ileal digestible lysine (SIDLys), medium (MBP) 1.1% SIDLys and low (LBP) 1.0% SIDLys, offered in starter, grower finisher phases as HHH, MMM, LLL, HHM, HHL, MML, HLL HML. Result: Higher (P less than 0.05) average BW BWG observed HMM group starter period. greater FI, however, was HHH MLL groups phases. had better FCR dressed carcass weight, breast yield, drum stick thigh weights. group, moreover, heavier abdominal fat, thigh, spleen, thymus bursa Fabricius. similarly, higher serum glucose, cholesterol, urea concentrations antibody titers against NDV IBDV. conclusion, HBP diets improved performance, characteristics, blood metabolites immunity chicken.

Serum Protein of Female Holstein Calves Fed Milk through Step-Down and Conventional Methods

The serum proteinograms of 10 female Holstein calves fed milk either through conventional (COV) or step-down (STP) milk feeding methods at different ages were evaluated. Calves fed using the COV method were fed colostrum during the first 24 hours that they stayed with their respective mothers and received transition milk for another 2 days and later, and then milk at four liters/day for 59 days...

The Effect of Uncoupling Protein Polymorphisms on Growth, Breeding Value of Growth and Reproductive Traits in the Fars Indigenous Chicken

The avianuncoupling protein (avUCP) is a member of the mitochondrial transporter superfamily that uncouples proton entry in the mitochondrial matrix from ATP synthesis. The polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) method was used to estimate the allele and genotype frequencies of the UCP/HhaI polymorphisms and to determine associations between these polymorp...

Haematological Study in Response to Varying Doses of Estrogen in Broiler Chicken

Present study was conducted at the Poultry Physiology Unit, Department of Physiology, University of Karachi. Study evaluated the response of varying Estradiol valerate (a synthetic estrogen) doses in broilers (chickens) on the RBC, ESR and Hb at different ages. Two trials were carried out on 100-day-old broiler chicks. Estrogen was injected in volumes of 1ml, 3ml and 5ml subcutaneously in neck....
